Journal of Faith: Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling Philippians 2:12

I've written before about my instinctive desire to try to figure out want God wants from my life and do it myself, but something hit me as I was asking God what he had in mind today.  He said my will.  Here is where perspective really matters because I got the feeling that this "will" was not referring to his desires type of "will" but to his declarations of what he "will do".  In case you are unsure of what God is willing to do for those of us who have been adopted into his family as his children through Jesus Christ, I have done a quick research on some of the major "I Will's" of God. I am no different than everyone else in this world in that I want to be loved.  I want to be on someone's mind all the time.  I want to matter to someone's heart in such a way that they will want to spend the rest of their life with me, flaws and all.  I was reflecting this week and God revealed to me that he declared to all the world his love for me when Jesus died on the cross, and when I accepted his sacrifice I accepted his proposal.  The Lord himself has declared his intention to make me his bride, and he has sealed his intent with a holy ring that is his holy spirit.  He has given me his ring and gone to prepare a place for me.  Any person who has accepted Jesus Christ as the son of God and the Holy sacrifice for our sins on the cross who rose from the dead after paying for our souls' salvation with his life has been sealed as the bride of Christ with his Holy Spirit.
