He's Coming Back for Me

I am no different than everyone else in this world in that I want to be loved.  I want to be on someone's mind all the time.  I want to matter to someone's heart in such a way that they will want to spend the rest of their life with me, flaws and all.  I was reflecting this week and God revealed to me that he declared to all the world his love for me when Jesus died on the cross, and when I accepted his sacrifice I accepted his proposal.  The Lord himself has declared his intention to make me his bride, and he has sealed his intent with a holy ring that is his holy spirit.  He has given me his ring and gone to prepare a place for me.  Any person who has accepted Jesus Christ as the son of God and the Holy sacrifice for our sins on the cross who rose from the dead after paying for our souls' salvation with his life has been sealed as the bride of Christ with his Holy Spirit. Jesus didn't get on one knee, but instead he stretched out his palms on a cross and gave everything for me.  Then after he died and rose, he called to me and asked, "will you have me?"  To all of the world that is reading this my answer is yes.  I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and I patiently wait for him to come back for me.  He said he would, and I believe him.  His holy spirit is the ring around my heart and soul that confirms that I am his, and he is mine.

In Biblical times there were betrothals.  This meant that in every way but one a woman and man were considered married.  At this point the man would go to build their home, and when he was done he would go get his bride and take her home.  Christ has gone to prepare a home for us and when he is done he is coming back for me.  Praise be to God.  While I wait, I worship him. While I wait, I tell the world about him. While I wait, I learn more about him. While I wait, I do the work that he left for me to do, and one day He will come for me.  When he comes, I will be ready.  This is the word of God concerning his church:

Ephesians 5
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and  they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
