When it Rains it Pours
It amazes me how when God blesses me it is usually in bundles of blessings. I don't normally get just one. I recently had a couple of things work in ways that I didn't expect. I am so excited I don't know what to do with myself. It is just another reminder that God is faithful. He knows what I need and want, and it matters to him. God cares about what I want. That baffles me. How could a God who created everything, knows everything, and see in and out of time care about what I want? I feel really loved right now. It makes all of the things that I have been going through feel like it was bearable. God knows what he is doing with our lives and truly our present suffering can't even be compared to the glory to come. If you are going through terror right now just hold on. I was about two seconds from giving up when God blessed me, and he is still continuing to bless me. Every time I am about to really dig in and complain it seems like something happens to remind me that God is right there with me and he is orchestrating something that is beyond what I am going through. Our lives are not our own and we exist for God's purposes, but that doesn't mean that God doesn't want us to live blessed all of the time. To the contrary, God's glory brings blessings for us too because we are a part of God's family. There is no greater or surer relationship then that of the christian to God. We have the wealthiest daddy in the world, and he is eager to bless us with physical, spiritual, emotional, and visible gifts. He sets a table before us in the presence of our enemies and he anoints our heads with oil. No matter what people try to say about the people of God no one will be able to deny when God blesses his people, when he blesses us. God wants to flaunt us to the world, and as we lift God up he draws others in to him. It is in God's favor that his people prosper. If you are his you've got an inheritance on you. You've got blessings in storage that God will bring out in his perfect timing. Stay on your journey of faith. It will lead to things greater than any of our comprehensions. Be encouraged. God cares about how we feel, and what we desire.
