Blossoming in the Witness of God's Glory
I thought I had already written about this, but the Lord gave me a totally different view of what it means to be a witness and it sort of connects in with the whole illustration of the growing plant. When the SUN shines down on flowers they blossom and bloom, showing the world the beauty that God nurtured. Similarly as God's people witness the glory of the SON in their lives they are suppose to blossom to show the evidence of the work of God in their lives. Many times people focus on evangelism like witnessing is only about telling people the gospel of Jesus Christ, but the gospel should show all over us like the flower that was kissed by the SON. When we look for God to show his wonder in our lives we become witnesses to what he does. We see him doing great things, and it forever changes us. We should open ourselves up to receive nourishment from the SON and show the world the beauty of his workmanship. We are his masterpieces delicately cultivated to show his glory. We shouldn't just tell people about Jesus. We should open ourselves up to see his glory in the earth. We should open ourselves to receive blessing and then pass it on to others through our living testimony. When people see our beautiful blooming they will ask how it happened and then we can share the SON. If we stay closed, like a rose plucked before its time, we don't get as much nourishment and no one gets to see the evidence of the son. I am going to try to open myself up more to the warm nourishment of the son which is Jesus Christ. After all if I am his workmanship then I need to let him do his work. Shine Jesus Shine on me so that I may bloom when you tell me it's time, a witness of your Glory. Amen
Ephesians 2: 4-10 "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them"
