The Faith WorkOut

It takes a lot some days for me to realize the grace that God has given me. My pastor says all the time Christianity is the easiest religion in the world because all you have to do is believe and at the same time it is the hardest religion in the world because all you have to do is believe.  This is painfully true in my life, but I thank God for our relationship that I received when I chose to listen to has call in my life.  God doesn't want me or any child of his to be confused.  In the Bible is actually says that Satan is the author of confusion.  God doesn't save us just to leave us to our own devices because it is the inadequacy of our own devices that caused Jesus to have to live on earth, die, and rise again.  We don't cut it for ourselves or for the people around us. Our intelligence isn't enough.  We'll never be smart enough or clever enough to accomplish God's best for us without him, and who wants to settle for their idea of best instead of God's best?  We don't deserve it, but if God gives it I want to be in a posture to receive the gift.  What is the only posture that God responds to?  It's faith.  Therefore if I am to receive God's best for my life I have to believe him when he tells me what I can have.  I asked God to help my unbelief concerning his desire to bless ME and he gave me an answer.  He told me to work out my faith; pump it up!
If I am to pump up my faith I have to feed it with the prophetic word of God spoken into my life and then put that faith to work letting it be my primary response to every situation. I have to let faith do my heavy lifting. If my faith isn't fed properly it won't hold up so what I take into my mind matters enormously.  I can't feast on spiritual junk food like cheap thrills or generally accepted lies about what can and can not be.  There are many choices for how to respond to situations, but when I choose to pull faith off of the bench it gains strength and endurance.  It is a conscious choice that puts fear and doubt on the bench of our lives.  They have been many of our go to responders for the majority of our lives.  They are big a strong from all the exposure that we've given them over the years.  It is time to put them out of the game and let faith that position.  I am going to start feasting on the word of God and not just snacking.  The fact that God's word created everything speaks to the power of his word.  My faith needs power food and she's going to get it.
Taste and see that the Lord he is good.
