How I'm Winning

I am a competitive athlete, musician, and business woman which means that I like to win.  It's not a matter of crushing the competition as much as it is about overcoming my obstacles.  Those that are the best at winning accomplish their tasks with finesse and leave the least amount of collateral damage in their wake.  As a kingdom woman I get the benefits of being a winner in every circumstance.  This is because the Lord has already defeated every obstacle and has undone every trap and trick of the enemy in my life.  This means that I only have to choose to win instead of fight to win.  That is how I am winning.  Even when I feel like I have failed, I still win because my victory is based on what God has done and can not be undone by me.   The win is me taking my place in the Kingdom of God to the glory of God. The only way for me to lose is to relinquish my position and forfeit. I said earlier that the best winners have finesse and leave less damage.  This infers that there are those of us who win but lack the style and precision of a professional winner.  Making a mistake is a great opportunity to analyze myself and get better therefore a "lose" for me is actually just an ugly win. I am losing a flaw in my understanding and winning new knowledge. The lose is a pathway to my  win.  As a Christian my life goals are to become a professional winner, and to show others how to win.  The only way to become a professional winner is with the Holy Spirit which guides us into all truth.  The Holy Spirit reveals to us how to overcome every obstacle. This is the power of winning for all of those who embrace relationship with the Lord. Believers in Jesus Christ are forever connected to God through the Holy Spirit who tells us how to win every time.  We are capable of doing many things in this world, but without having a relationship with our creator and our savior what's the point? We still lose because there is no way we can truthfully claim complete innocence.  Without Christ to pay the price for our guiltiness we owe a sin debt that we can only pay with our eternal lives, which means that we are playing to lose. God always wins and when we align ourselves with him we win too.  I may not always look like I'm winning or feel like I am winning, but thank God that I am winning because I am on God's team.

Jesus is the Son of God
9If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Purpose and Concluding Remarks
13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 14And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
16If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
18We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 19And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 20And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

5 things that could keep you from getting so angry

So I find that there are certain things that when done make for a much better day than when I don't do them.  As a single mom sometimes it gets hard to do these and then everything seems to be a bigger ordeal for me. Mr. Sandman Where are you?

I was told that by 6 months old or so my son should be effectively sleeping through the night. Well, Tomorrow is his first birthday and he has already woken up twice...make that three times because he woke up while I was writing this! I really miss sleeping and I want my little one to get sleep too. He wakes up every two or three hours to nurse. I try to get him to go back to sleep, but a baby who is standing up and pulling on the side of his crib isn't going back to sleep easily. I sing, swing, shush , and attempt to swaddle, but he won't have any of it. Sometimes I let him cry his way back to sleep, but it only last for about a half hour before he reawakens more determined than before. The screaming wears on my nerves and the lack of sleep is wearing on my days. Some days I think "This is it. This is my life now. I will never feel rested again, and I will never be fully alert again." I expected to lose sleep when I found out I was pregnant. I expected to be tired, b...

I have a dream

I used to dream all the time that I was witnessing to people.  People would ask me questions and I would begin to speak about the goodness of the Lord, and how Jesus was the solution to all of their problems or desires.  I feel anointed to be having those dreams again.  Maybe someone needs these words.  I talk about my journey of faith, but maybe you haven't begun that journey yet so let me tell you about Jesus.  Jesus is the Christ, the savior of the world, the messiah, the only begotten son of God.  Jesus is God in humanity. He came down to earth, lived a human life, did miraculous things to show people who he was and how much he loved them.  Jesus felt every human emotion that any of us have ever felt.
