Who Lives and Who Dies?
Check it out folks. I was at work yesterday and a woman approached me and told me that the devil tried to kill her and her son in a car accident. They hit a wall three times because each time it hit the car spun around and hit again. All she said she could think of was what her pastor had just said in the event they were coming from. He talked about how people were being saved and the enemy didn't like it. He went on to say that the devil was going to try to take some people out, but that God is faithful. Scary stuff huh? Not for me! Because the only one that can decide who lives and who dies is God. The only authority to take life is the one who gives it. This woman told her son to just call on Jesus and they are BOTH alive today even though according to the nature of the accident they should not have survived. She told me that she remembered her pastor talking about what Satan meant for evil working for the good of God's people. She is a witness to the power of God. No evil and no wickedness has the power to make anything live or die. This power rests solely with the Lord.
So who lives and who dies? Whoever God allows and his judgement is sound. Paul put it this way in Romans 14:7-9
"For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth of himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living."
Think about that as you go on your way and no that nothing is outside of the hand of God. This woman gave me a powerful testimony while I was at work inside of a Sam's Club. Tomorrow is my son's 5th birthday and if God allows I will be grateful to continue my journey with him. Even as a single mother I have to remember that God said live and that is what brought my son into the world. Thank you God for my baby turned big boy. Be Blessed.
