Who gave you the authority...

I am sure that everyone can think of at least one time when someone tried to stop you in your tracks.  If you don't have an acceptable answer to their questions things can get pretty uncomfortable.  I have been the girl that had the answers as well as the girl who didn't.  So what do you do when God told you to do something, and no one else heard it?  What do you do when God says "go" and everyone else says "no"?  This is the moment when you have to know your Bible.  I believe that if someone is doing something that is in tuned with the Word of God, than they need to be left to their devices.  I am reminded of a story in the Bible where Jesus' disciples were being critical of men that were rebuking demons and healing people in the name of Jesus. Scripture puts it like this:

Mark 9:38-39King James Version (KJV)

38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

People of God, you do not need permission from a person to do be who God made you to be.  If God has called you forth then all you need to do is receive it and walk in it.  You may need to ask permission to use other people's resources or to operate in their environment, but you do not need any person's permission to do the work of the Lord.  The Lord will open doors that no man can shut, and God will close doors that no man can open.  At the same time time the Bible tells us to study to shew ourselves approved workmen that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  It also says to make your calling and election sure.  If you believe that God has called you to something, dive into your Bible and learn as much as you can.  Read scholarly works concerning your call, and seek Godly wisdom for your mission.  If people approve of you congratulations, but if they don't you do what God said do. Stay prayerful, stay faithful, and let your fruit prove your roots.  If you know that God placed a work in your heart, then do not fear men who can kill the body.  God is able to preserve you and lift you up if you humbly submit yourself to his word.  What God has blessed no man can curse.  If you have to choose between going with man and going with God, YOU CHOOSE GOD.  The people trying to deny you may end up coming to you for help like the brothers of Joseph sold him into slavery only to find out that he was given one of the highest positions in all of Egypt and had the power to save their families.  No matter what, do what God said.  He has a plan for your life and it's awesome.  Be blessed.

So I find that there are certain things that when done make for a much better day than when I don't do them.  As a single mom sometimes it gets hard to do these and then everything seems to be a bigger ordeal for me. Mr. Sandman Where are you?

I was told that by 6 months old or so my son should be effectively sleeping through the night. Well, Tomorrow is his first birthday and he has already woken up twice...make that three times because he woke up while I was writing this! I really miss sleeping and I want my little one to get sleep too. He wakes up every two or three hours to nurse. I try to get him to go back to sleep, but a baby who is standing up and pulling on the side of his crib isn't going back to sleep easily. I sing, swing, shush , and attempt to swaddle, but he won't have any of it. Sometimes I let him cry his way back to sleep, but it only last for about a half hour before he reawakens more determined than before. The screaming wears on my nerves and the lack of sleep is wearing on my days. Some days I think "This is it. This is my life now. I have a dream

I used to dream all the time that I was witnessing to people.  People would ask me questions and I would begin to speak about the goodness of the Lord, and how Jesus was the solution to all of their problems or desires.  I feel anointed to be having those dreams again.  Maybe someone needs these words.  I talk about my journey of faith, but maybe you haven't begun that journey yet so let me tell you about Jesus.  Jesus is the Christ, the savior of the world, the messiah, the only begotten son of God.  Jesus is God in humanity.
