Bragging Rights/ Father's Day
This brings me to my conclusion concerning my miscarriage. As I recognize that being born at all is a miracle within itself, I also must acknowledge that "to live is Christ and to die is gain"(Philippians 1:21). It is by the grace of GOD that any of us make it to this world at all. Our chances were slimmer than slim. At the same time, my baby knew nothing of the evils of this life being sent straight back into the arms of GOD. I would call that a win. My little grain of sand (that's about how big the baby was) never really belonged to me, but to GOD. GOD chose to take my baby back, and I choose to say thank you.
Thank you for allowing me to experience the joy of pregnancy that I never felt with my other children because of the circumstances. Thank you that I can guarantee that at least one of my children is going to Heaven. Thank you that my baby never had to deal with hate. Thank you that while I am living to Christ that one day I will be allowed to step out of time and into forever with you and everyone that knew you when I had to say goodbye to them. Thank you for my living children who are learning your word and accepting it as true. Thank you for the purpose and gifting that you have placed in each of them. LORD, Dad, help me to remember that whether we live or die that we are yours, and that's something to brag about. I have the best father ever and his name is THE LORD. (ps he gave me a great earthly father too. Props to daddy Stephen who married the most wonderful woman in the world and then made me. Love you dad)
1 Chronicles 29:10-12 King James Version (KJV)
10 Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.
11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
