Don't Doubt It

Image
I was in tears last week when I got home from work.  They were tears of joy and praise to God because I made it driving 30 minutes on the highway with less than an 8th of a tank of gas.  I had no choice because I had no cash and I had no other way to get home.  I prayed and said "Lord I have no choice but to roll."  I literally saw my gas tank move up several times throughout the drive.  When I saw my exit I started crying and praising God.  If you were to see me from another car you would have thought I was crazy.  I was yelling thank you Jesus and Halleluiah all the way.  Tears were flowing and I was slapping my steering wheel while trying not to get in an accident from shouting.  I was really scared and I had no one to call but Jesus, but that is no problem because Jesus is enough.  This may seem like a little thing to some of you, but it meant the world to me.  I had no other way to get to my son, and I had no other way to get t...

Who Lives and Who Dies?

Image
Check it out folks.  I was at work yesterday and a woman approached me and told me that the devil tried to kill her and her son in a car accident.  They hit a wall three times because each time it hit the car spun around and hit again.  All she said she could think of was what her pastor had just said in the event they were coming from.  He talked about how people were being saved and the enemy didn't like it.  He went on to say that the devil was going to try to take some people out, but that God is faithful.  Scary stuff huh?  Not for me!  Because the only one that can decide who lives and who dies is God.  The only authority to take life is the one who gives it.  This woman told her son to just call on Jesus and they are BOTH alive today even though according to the nature of the accident they should not have survived.  She told me that she remembered her pastor talking about what Satan meant for evil working for the good of God'...

Self Check

Image
God has blessed me so much this summer.  I was able to get a car, a new job,  growth in my business, and new relationships.  When things like this happen I have to check myself.  I have a tendency to say thank you to God and then to say "I'll take over from here."  That never serves me well.  I don't suffer from ungratefulness, but I do tend to suffer from controlling behavior.  I like to regulate things in my life, but that isn't where God wants me to be.  It get really hard not to trust in my own understanding, but this is what God wants from me.  It is what God has requested of all of us. Pray for me.  The hardest place for me to be is in the blessed place, and I am there now.  Thank God for this blessed place, but it is causing me to check myself every day.  The reality is that I can't do anything without God.  Lord let my ears, heart, mind, and spirit be open to your voice and instruction.  Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust...

God's Supply Never Runs Low

According to Phillipians 4:19 it says that God will supply all of our needs according to his riches in glory.  Well I have a testimony about that.  Three weeks ago I started a new job that I LOVE! That was a surprise to me because I had very little idea what I would be doing when I went in for the interview.  It was one of I don't know how many jobs that I applied to, and I really wasn't expecting to get a call back from them.  I got to my first day at work and was sold on this job.  It was a great atmosphere from the first day and it still is.  Praise the Lord!  Last week my family car broke down right at my exit on the drive home from work.  This is a praise too because I was working 45 minutes away from my job and could have been stranded out there.  Thank you Lord that he got me home. I was close enough to walk home safely.  I didn't have to though my father and grandfather picked me up.  I have to also mention that a cousin tha...

In Dependence Day

I have been looking up options for getting a car these past couple of weeks because I start a new job soon and I need a car.  I didn't know how stressful this whole process would be, but I have had several head aches and even a moment of tears.  In those moments I realized that I literally can't do anything right without the Lord's instruction.  Every time I would ask God why it wasn't working out, he told me over and over again to pray and then trust him.  I don't have the results yet, but I believe that as I pray even now that God has it all worked out.  On this United States Independence Day I am humbled to be In dependence on the Lord in all of my decision making.  It's a relief to know that I can lean on the Lord and he won't drop me.  The Lord knows what I have need of and he won't drop me.  He never has.  I have been in situations where I wasn't able to pay for a class and the money came to me.  I needed money for my business and ...

July is Here!

Image
So, this month I have decided to spend the month reflecting on what God has already shown me in my life.  In my blogging life it means that I won't be blogging as much as commenting on blogs that I have already written with words of reflection, revelation, and renewal.  Look for my comments and reflect with me on what God has already done on this blog.  I am so grateful that God uses my fingers to speak to my heart.  Seriously folks, I am not as smart as I seem in some of these blogs.  It is ALL God! If you think something touched your life, please share that with me to encourage me in the Lord too.  I'll also be checking out YOUR blogs to see  what's up with you if you have one.  Feel free to give a shout out to your blog and I'll pay a visit and leave a comment. Love you fellow sojourners of faith!

It's on Purpose

Image
There is a certain satisfaction in knowing that you are in your flow.  These are the times when we are doing what we were born to do and making it look miraculous, which it is.  This is you living in purpose, where all of your eccentricities, giftedness, and passion feel at home.  You may or may not know the power of  this moment, but you are moving fast.  This doesn't happen by accident.  All of us were made to fit a certain section of the puzzle of history, and scripture tells us this in Ephesians chapters one and two. In Ephesians 2:10  it says that we are God's creations designed to do specific tasks that he has given us the authority for.  This tells us that we are not only made on purpose but for a purpose.  God had goals in mind when he created each of us and those purposes are going to show up throughout our lives.  We are like trees that have been planted, watered, and fed.  We are not going to be able to stay in the ground...
