Who was Jesus born for, who did he die for, and who does he live for?

I am always thinking about community and how we are suppose to be knitted together.  Everyone is so different and it seems that for some societies the only way to insure one's own survival is at the cost someone else. That is a lie and a scheme to keep us from seeing that the only way we can all thrive is to work together for the cause of love.  In the story of the tower of babel the people understood the power of working together for a goal, but they misunderstood that they put themselves in opposition of God and therefore sealed their demise. What I gleaned from looking at this story again is that the only two things that garauntee success and fulfillment in the lives of all people are unity with eachother and unity with God. The word of the day is reconciliation.  Here is the breakdown.  Christ came to earth to reconcile us to God, but we can not be reconciled with God without also being reconciled with our brother (that means all humanity) because in scripture it says that we can't love God who we haven't seen if we don't love our brothers which we have seen. If Christ came to reconcile us to God then he must have known that he was also coming to reconcile us with each other.  It is easy to say we forgive people or to say that we accept people, but tolerance isn't even close to love.  Tolerance says that I don't really want you, but I will take you to get something else that I want or to avoid something that I don't want.  That does not sound like christ at all.  It sounds like a business negotiation.  People in this mindset are marginalized and taken for grantite.  After years of watching people being belittled in the politically correct way I began to wonder how in the world people can see each other in such a dim light.  God many have diversified our languages, but he wants us unified as the body of christ.  God didn't make a mistake with any of us when we were born, and he didn't make a mistake when he made different nationalities and genders.  In fact it wasn't until God had made woman to go along with man that he saw that it was good.  God loves every kind of people and desires that everyone would come to the knowledge of Christ and his sacrifice for us.  Christ came to bring all people together and all people to God through his sacrifice on the cross.  It takes an intimate relationship with God and the willingness to see things through the God perspective for us to realize that God DOES see color and he loves it that way.  God speaks all of our languages and he loves them.  God loves all of our music, and God loves all of our food.  God mourns when any of us mourn, and God rejoices when any of us rejoice.  God feels for us and he smiles at us all.  We are all priceless to God, and he wants us to all see that about ourselves and about each other.  God did not create denomenations we did that.  Scripture says that where there is confusion there is every evil work so let's get it together.  Let's pray for each other and for ourselves that God give us revelation on how we can love each other and how we can see each other as Christ see us.  We are his children and the sheep of his pasture, and every good thing about us comes from him.  All of the good from every culture is a gift from God to us to show his glory and his diversity.  Diversity was God's plan from the beginning.  Look at the diversity of the animals and of the plants. Look at the different climates, and the wonders of the world.  Look at the different types of people who's stories were included in his book. We do not have the authority to say that anything that God calls beautiful and good unacceptable.  The goal that I am going for is to see more of God in his creations, and to take on more of his heart concerning all that he created.  This includes especially all people.   I want to love God and the only way I can do that is if he teaches me how.  God wants all of us to practice loving him by loving each other.  This does not mean tolerance only, but embracing all people.  If we as God's people get together there is nothing that we can not do with the approval of God.  Could you imagine every person praying in the name of Jesus for miracles in our world?  That would be awesome, but first we have to stop segregating ourselves.  Of course with this approach mistakes will be made and feeling may be hurt, but there is something that I learned in a class called the "oops" and "ouch" policy.  It means that when you say or do something that is offensive the one who is offended says ouch and explains the hurt.  Then you get to say oops.  If we can learn to kindly address offenses and experience true forgiveness then we can grow together.  We should worship God together. We should cry together.  We should pray together.  We should rejoice together.  Christ came for everyone that would accept him not just people who grew up like you, and not just for people who grew up like me.  Think about it and let God touch your heart for the person that you would call other, but God calls your brother because Christ came died and lives for them too.  Remember we are to be known as Christians by the love that we show one to another, and with God all things are possible.
